What is the goal of Kommunity assisting All People?

The goal of Kommuity Assisting All People (KAAP) is a fluid information service center which disseminates information to the population concerning access to our life-changing and life-enhancing programs. KAAP will focus on re-entry services and housing for the justice-involved population. Objectively, housing can be one of the largest barriers someone can have to overcome. Residential placement, individualized services, and funding are major barriers for individuals reentering communities. Many recieve no support when released with only the clothes on their backs. KAAP's initiatives focus on improving outcomes for justice-involved individuals.

RE-ENTRY TO LIFE AND SOCIETY

The unfortunate occurrence of young men and young women learning to experience with guns and drugs, provide a gateway to criminal activity due to experiencing systems of behaviors related to trauma exposure, because they are not giving access to tools for system involvement and system navigation through formal and informal support systems. KAAP promotes pro-social attitudes and behavior, while fostering healthy relationships, resistance to substance abuse, conflict and violence, and resistance to negative peer pressure and influence.

The Key to KAAP's Goals

The key to KAAP's goals is the education and services provide to assist the houseless and justice-involved population in becoming successful citizens in the Commonwealth. Our support increases access to specialized evidence-based services to each neighborhood concerning Metro Louisville and Federal Government, introduce a program model designed to improve the quality of life and offering a new start in life. KAAP will equip clients with new life-changing tools, utilizing mobile units to ensure they have the ability to apply for employment and meet their schedulig obligations. KAAP aims to become the pathology allowing for clients to overcome their past and adhere to a system of an empowerment framework and will reduce recidivism caused by structural barriers often to impede homelessness and justice-involved people from successful re-entry.
